Drone Surveys & Inspection Coventry
Drone Roof Survey Coventry & Other Drone Surveys
Here at Drone Site Surveys, we enable the construction industry to work smarter by using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs/Drones) to inspect, measure, and map areas without the need for time-consuming and expensive equipment hire. By having a drone survey across Coventry, you negate the need for scaffolding, cherry pickers, or other ways of viewing your building or construction site at height. Many of our customers are particularly interested in a drone roof survey, as the roof is generally the hardest part of a building to inspect.
As a CAA approved drone company and a Construction Line Gold accredited business, we have undertaken 1000s of drone surveys across Coventry and the West Midlands Region.
Using the most modern drone inspection equipment we can provide images and video of your structures at incredible heights. All of our media is in super high resolution with images and video available up to 4K. We can then back these images with a report for you and your team to understand issues that require further invasive inspection.

85 miles north-west of London and five miles south of the town of Bedworth, Coventry is situated in the West Midlands county. Coventry, which is two miles north of the Warwickshire border, was formerly a part of that county. Coventry is a part of the Coventry Metropolitan District Council. It is located in the CV1 postal area. Coventry serves as Coventry’s post town.
The Meriden Gap, which divides Coventry from the rest of the West Midlands conurbation, surrounds the city and offers a significant open area for citizens to exercise and enjoy. There are regions of significant deprivation and dissatisfaction in the city, and access and contentment are not consistent throughout the entire city.
The City is working on an updated Green Futures strategy outlining how Coventry will stay within its carbon budget, while the West Midlands Combined Authority has made it a goal for the area to achieve net zero emissions by 2041. In order to do this, it will be necessary, among other things, to remodel older dwellings so that they meet current insulation standards.

Coventry City Council(s) Policies on Drone Usage
You may have heard some buzz about changing drone regulations. Indeed – from November 2019, it will be a legal requirement to register as a drone operator for all aircrafts over 250g. So, if you have the DJI Mavic Mini (249g – just one gram below), or any other lighter drone – you’re in luck. Otherwise, this applies for all drone flyers, regardless of whether you’re just flying recreationally.
You can register it with the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), and complete an online safety test.
If you don’t and you’re still following all of the other regulations within the drone code, you may face fines of up to £1,000.
As a starting point of being an awesome drone flyer – have a look at the Drone Code and check out the top things to keep in mind. The main points are :
1 always keep your drone in sight
2 Stay below 400ft (120m)
3 Every time you fly, you must follow the manufacturer’s instructions
4 Keep 150feet (50m) away from people and properties
5 You are responsible for each flight
6 Stay away from airports. With tightening regulations, the distance to stay away is now 5km.
