Birmingham Airport
The airport, east of the city near Solihull, has controlled airspace over much of Birmingham and a Flight Restriction Zone around it. We arrange permission from air traffic control before the survey date.
HMP Birmingham
The prison at Winson Green has restricted airspace around it. Nearby sites need extra planning.
City centre and filming
City-centre flights need landowner permissions and careful planning around busy streets. Filming enquiries in the city go through Film Birmingham.
Rail lines
Lines run in every direction from New Street, Moor Street and Snow Hill. Network Rail has its own rules for drones near its property, on top of CAA rules.
Restricted doesn’t mean impossible
